Iaido

The sword style taught in the dojo is Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu. We are affiliated with the JKI organization, led in the United States by Shimabukaro Hanshi, author of 'Flashing Steel' and 'Living Karate.'

A style, school, or system of martial arts is called "Ryu" in Japanese, a term that derives its meaning from the endless flow of a river. Thus, the style of Iaido practiced is: Muso ("Unequaled") Jikiden ("Direct Lineage") Eishin-Ryu ("style of Eishin").
